Mary, a teenage girl accepted the call to be the mother of Jesus. She didn't know all the circumstances that would accompany the call on her life. The angel Gabriel did not say, “Mary, because of the calling on your life you will be rejected by family and friends, Joseph, your fiancé́, will not believe you miraculously conceived. You will have to travel while pregnant to Bethlehem and give birth among animals in a barn. After Jesus is born, you will hide Jesus for two years from the hand of Herod who will be seek to kill him. And even after Jesus is an adult and many witness His awesome power, your own people will not believe Jesus is the Messiah. You will watch Jesus being rejected over and over again, his enemies will beat him and then nail Him to the cross unto death.” If Gabriel had included these details, do you think Mary's answer would have been, "May it be to me as you have said"(Luke1:38). God doesn’t provide the fine print of our assignment. However, Mary serves as a wonderful example of believing and trusting in God’s plan under extreme difficulty without giving up, and we must do the same in our lives. Keep pushing through there is purpose in the pain.
God's Promise
“....by two unchangeable things [His promise and His oath] in which it is impossible for God ever to prove false or deceive us, we who have fled to [Him] for refuge might have mighty indwelling, strength and strong encouragement to grasp and
hold fast the hope appointed for us and set before [us]”(Heb 6:18 AMP).
