God loves you so much that He humbled Himself as King of the world to be received as a baby and cared for like you and me. The Word of God says, “We have a high priest who is able to empathize with our weakness and who has been tempted as we have” (Hebrews 4:15).

Jesus allowed Himself to be misunderstood, rejected, beaten, humiliated, and nailed to a cross as He carried our sins, shame, and guilt. He did this so that we could be freed from anything that does not reflect Him, and to bring us back into right relationship with God—fully restored.

Since our risen Savior’s triumphant victory, those who believe in Jesus and welcome Him into their hearts are saved and protected by the hand of God. What kind of God would humble Himself to humanity to demonstrate the vastness of His love? Only Jesus.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). Out of God’s great love, He gives everyone the opportunity to have a personal relationship with Him through belief in Jesus. It sounds simple, but it is the most powerful and important step anyone can ever take.
