Do you know what brings God joy? You do. The Bible tells us, "It is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom" (Luke 12:32). This means that God delights in blessing us and giving us His kingdom.

The Word also tells us that it brings God joy to work in our lives as believers. Ephesians 1:5 says, "He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will." God takes great delight in us, as Zephaniah 3:17 says, "The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing." Psalm 149:4 echoes this sentiment: "For the Lord takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory."

One of my favorite scripture’s states, "He will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing" (Zephaniah 3:17). Can’t you tell by those scriptures just how much God loves you. That is why Neh 8:10 says “the joy of the Lord is Your Strength,” because when you begin to meditate on the word of God and how he loves & delights over you it develops a joy and strength no one can take from you. Why? Because it’s based on the finished work of Jesus Christ. God loves you and has so much joy for you that he made a way for each individual to be in right relationship with him. No circumstance can alter this truth. It is a foundation to hold closely in your heart and mind to ward off any discouragement. Nothing can separate you from this great love and joy. Meditate on this truth and watch how every worry and concern falls away.

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39
