It’s Not a Destination

It’s Not a Destination

Many times, as Christians we feel that our life involves meeting certain criteria. I’ve learned our Christian walk has little to do with what we accomplish but involves what was accomplished for us. God sent his one and only Son to die for us so our sins would be forever forgiven, so we could have a personal relationship with Father God. Our Christian life is established on this truth. The focus should be on the one who freed us from all sin, sickness, and torment. So, what should we do as Christians? Believe in the finished work of Jesus, walk in it, declare it especially in the valley seasons. The enemy is a master deceiver to make you believe what you see is bigger than what Christ died to give you. No one has more power than the power that was displayed to carry mankind’s sins on the cross. Many times, it’s hard for us to believe this during our trials. But Christ says walk by faith. Our Christian journey is to walk by faith even when it feels like we are walking on quicksand. God tells us to labor in one thing, in his rest (Hebrews 4:11 KJV). When everything looks bleak it is truly a labor to turn from what we see and feel and believe in our stance, which is the finished work of Christ Jesus.
