God Waits with Open Arms The Prodigals Son Luke 16:11-32 NIV

God Waits with Open Arms The Prodigals Son Luke 16:11-32 NIV

Many people know the story of the Prodigals Son. The story is a shadow of God’s love for us. Even when we make mistakes in our life do you know that God never leaves you. His word promises “he will never leave you nor forsake you” (Deut 31:6-8 NIV). In the story of the Prodigals son the Bible says that when the son returned home “while he was still a long way off his Father saw him and was filled with compassion for him” (Luke 15:20 NIV). God loves us so much he has compassion for us even when we make mistakes. It’s that compassionate love that draws us closer to him. Displayed in the story of the Prodigal’s Son, the Father “ran to him and kissed him” and told his servants to prepare not a party but a feast, the best of everything (Luke 15:20 NIV). Our heavenly Father doesn’t keep an account of our wrongs and when we make mistakes, he draws us back to Him by reminding us just how much he loves us. Every transgression has been completely forgiven through Christ Jesus, freeing us from guilt and condemnation. The Father sees you through Jesus, perfect and your feast is being prepared.

His massive arms are wrapped around you, protecting you. You can run under his covering of majesty and hide. His arms of faithfulness are a shield keeping you from harm.

Psalm 91:4 TPT
