Do you realize that fear is a learned behavior? Many fears have been imposed on us from childhood. Fear is also manifested by concerns over the future. The enemy thrives on our fears. However, God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power love and a sound mind. The enemy is the father of lies, so he will consistently lie to us in every situation. But we are not defeated. For every lie the enemy tells us we have the Word of Truth. That is why it is so important for us to know what the Word of God says. As Christians God’s Word is the final word. “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edge sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12). The Word of God has the power to remove wrong beliefs. The first lie ever to be recorded was from the enemy to Adam and Eve that changed the whole trajectory of mankind. That is how powerful lies and deception are they affect how you see yourself and behave. But God’s Word has all power it’s able to remove the darkness of lies and show us the beautiful light of truth. And only the truth sets us free. Let’s make it a daily habit to learn God’s truths daily, meditate on them until they become so much of who we are that any time an incorrect thought enters our minds we are able to counter it with the Word of God.
